This laser is the gold standard for removing red spots and blood vessels on the face and body. VBeam® treatments have been safe and used successfully by dermatologists since the 1980s. The 595 nm laser targets blood cells in the blood vessels to reduce redness anywhere on the body. It works great for blood vessels on the face and neck, including those associated with rosacea. It is also used to reduce redness associated with acne and acne scars and well as help shrink and fade hypertrophic scars and keloids. It will help fade pink stretch marks, red birthmarks, and angiomas. VBeam is also effective at removing discrete brown or sun spots.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required depends on the desired outcome, the extent of redness, and the area being treated. For facial vessels, 1-2 treatments may be required, whereas more advanced stages of rosacea may require 4 to 5 visits. Treatments can be performed every 4 to 6 weeks.

Are there any side effects?

You may experience mild discomfort for a few seconds with each zap of the laser. Mild redness or swelling can occur depending on the area treated. For example, skin around the eyes tends to swell more often than other areas on the face. Redness typically resolves in minutes to hours. Certain skin conditions such as scars and angiomas may be treated with a setting that can bruise the skin. This bruise leaves a temporary purple-blue discoloration that fades in approximately 7 days.
